Judith Rowland (@JudithJRowland) is the Head of U.S. Policy and Advocacy at Global Citizen. Ms. Rowland holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Missouri State University and a graduate degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. In her current role, Judith leads Global Citizen’s advocacy within the U.S. government. Judith helped secure over 100 cosponsors on the 2014 Water for the World Act and, in conjunction with partners from across the sector, played an instrumental role in seeing the bill pass through both chambers and be signed into law by President Obama. Judith also worked in close partnership with the White House on the launch of First Lady Michelle Obama's #62MillionGirls campaign. Most recently, Judith led Global Citizen’s efforts in support of the Global Food Security Act which was signed into law by President Obama in July 2016. She has traveled to more than 80 countries and has lived in Ghana, China, England, and Puerto Rico.
