Mr. Sonigitu Ekpe is a Staff of the Cross River State Government and he his currently deployed to the Department of Forestry, Biodiversity and Conservation, Governor's Office. Mr Ekpe, holds a National Diploma in Fisheries Technology, Higher National Diploma in Agriculture & Management Technology, B.Sc Environmental Protection and Resource Management, M. Sc Forestry & Environmental Management. He holds an International Diploma in Environmental Governance from the prestigious Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva - Switzerland. He his currently, in his PhD final year studies on Wildlife and Forest Resource Management at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike - Abia State. He has some academic publications in both international and national journals. He is a member of over fifteen International Organisations and an advocate of Digital Agriculture, Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition and Consumer Awareness. Mr. Ekpe is involve in ICT4D, voluntarily services to the United Nations Internet Governance Forum, Internet Corporation Assigned Names and Numbers, UN Blue Number Project(Global Registry in Agriculture), e-agriculture of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN. He is a strong advocate of Open Data domestication, he has attended many International Conferences and in June 2016 he was at the OECD Ministerial meeting held in Cancun - Mexico were he shared GODAN Vision and solicited for the extension of Digital Agriculture Pilot Project to Cross River State for Precision Agriculture
